I came to believe in Jesus on September 3, 1976, in Montreal, a few days before my nineteenth birthday, having heard the Gospel clearly for the first time that day. Being Jewish, I was surprised to see how the Old Testament so clearly foretold his coming. I said the sinner's prayer and from that day began to experience the transforming work of God in my life as he made himself known to me. The following year I enrolled in Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University College), majoring in Christian Education. My wife, Robin, and I were married May 1980. We graduated from OBC together the following year. We have 10 children, ages 15-38. Our eldest daughter, Sarah, is married and is expecting her first child in July. Our eldest son, Joshua, is married and has four children. Another son Daniel in engaged to be married this June. Two of our children are currently with us at home.
Since 2015, I have developed and taught the grades 5–8 Bible class at St. Timothy’s Classical Academy. I have self-published “Torah Light,” a collection of fifty-four of the best TorahBytes messages; two booklets, “Undermining Forces: Nine popular approaches attacking the authority of Scripture today” and “God Did Not Reject His People: The Identity of Israel in Paul's Letter to the Romans, Chapter 11”; and “God's Epic Story Bible Study,” a self-guided Bible study version of my seminar of the same name.
