I came to believe in Jesus on September 3, 1976, in Montreal, a few days before my nineteenth birthday, having heard the Gospel clearly for the first time that day. Being Jewish, I was surprised to see how the Old Testament so clearly foretold his coming. I said the sinner's prayer and from that day began to experience the transforming work of God in my life as he made himself known to me. The following year I enrolled in Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University College), majoring in Christian Education. My wife, Robin, and I were married May 1980. We graduated from OBC together the following year. We have 10 children, ages 15-38, and five grandchildren.
Since 2015, I have developed and taught the grade 5–8 Bible classes at St. Timothy’s Classical Academy. I have self-published “Torah Light,” a collection of fifty-four of the best of my weekly TorahBytes messages as well as two booklets, “Undermining Forces: Nine popular approaches attacking the authority of Scripture today” and “God Did Not Reject His People: The Identity of Israel in Paul's Letter to the Romans, Chapter 11." I have also produced the “God's Epic Story Bible Study,” a self-guided Bible-study version of my seminar of the same name.
